Society for the Study of Women Philosophers

The Society for the Study of Women Philosophers invites proposals for its sessions at the annual meeting of the Eastern Division of the American Philosophical Association in Baltimore, January 4 – 7, 2017.

Papers on the contributions of women to philosophy – in the analytic, continental, or non-Western traditions – are welcomed.

Proposals for panel discussions are encouraged.

Proposals may focus on:

* Any aspect of the thought of a woman philosopher, past or present.
* Discovery of work by a previously unrecognized woman philosopher.
* How women have (re)defined the nature of philosophical work.
* Reflections on experience in teaching the work of women philosophers.

Send a completed paper [±2500 words] as a Word or PDF attachment to:

SUBMISSION DEADLINE: April 25, 2016

  • Membership in SSWP is not necessary to submit a paper, but all authors must be a member in good standing or join the Society in order to present an accepted paper. To join go to: http://www.sswp.org
